The restored coumns are back in place, needing only shimming, two coats of laytex paint, and trim work around the very top of each column to prevent water from entering the columns at that location. Caption: Week of 28 August 2005: An old screen door was found in one of the out-buildings on Sutherland-Wilson farm. It may have been used originally on one of the two doors that opened onto the kithcen/dining room porch. That porch now is enclosed and used as a kitchen. However, we hope to restore this area to its original usage and appearance. This door may help us determine the size of the priginal doors entering onto this porch. Click image to enlarge.
