Mystery Object No. Two

What is this mystery object?

Answer: Beeswax.

Beeswax was used on the thread when quilting in order to make it go through the batting easier and keep it from fraying. If you look closely at the beeswax you can see the grooves in it where the thread was pulled through and some remnents of the thread.
